Saint Melitina was a Christian woman who lived during the persecutions under Emperor Antoninus Pius. Arrested by the governor Antiochus, she was taken into pagan temples on two separate occasions and commanded to offer sacrifices to idols. On each occasion, by the power of her faith and the grace of God, the idols toppled over at her presence, a miraculous sign that further enraged her captors....
