Saint Osmund, also known as Edmund or Osimund, was born in Seez, Normandy, France as the son of Henry, count of Seez. He received a solid education and eventually became count of Seez himself. Saint Osmund was a close companion of William the Conqueror and played a significant role in the invasion of England in 1066. Following the decisive Battle of Hastings, he was appointed royal chaplain and Earl of Dorset....
