Saint Patrick, also known as the Apostle of Ireland, was born as Maewyn Succat between 387 and 390 in Scotland. At the age of 16, he was kidnapped from the British mainland and taken to Ireland as a slave. Forced to work as a shepherd in the mountains, Patrick spent his time in prayer and meditation, deepening his faith. After six years of captivity, Patrick had a dream in which he felt called to return to Britain....
