Saint Paulus Liu Jinde, also known as Baolu and Paul, was a married layman who lived in the apostolic vicariate of Southeastern Zhili, China during the late 19th century. He was born around the year 1821 in Lanziqiao, Hengshui, Hebei, China. During the tumultuous period of the Boxer Rebellion, which occurred from 1899 to 1901, Christianity and its followers faced intense persecution in China....
