Saint Peter Gonzales, also known as Elm, Elmo, Erasmus, Pedro, Pietro, Telm, and Telmo, was born in 1190 in Astorga, Spain. He hailed from the Castilian nobility and spent his youth indulging in worldly pursuits. However, he was fortunate to receive education from his uncle, the bishop of Astorga, which laid the foundation for his later spiritual journey....
