Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, also known as Francoise-Marie Thérèse Martin, was born on January 2, 1873, in Alençon, Normandy, France. She was the youngest of five daughters born to Blessed Louis Martin and Blessed Marie-Azélie Guérin Martin, both devout Catholics. Unfortunately, Thérèse's mother passed away when she was just four years old, and her family eventually moved to Lisieux, Normandy to be closer to relatives....
