Saint Zosimus of Syracuse, also known as Zosimo or Zozimus, was born around 570 in Syracuse, Sicily. He came from a wealthy family, whose estates provided a comfortable life. However, at a young age, Zosimus felt called to a life of spiritual dedication and entered the monastery of Saint Lucy near Syracuse when he was just seven years old....
