Blessed Euphemia of Altenmünster, also known as Eufemia, was born in the 12th century in Bavaria, Germany, as the daughter of Count Berthold and Sophie of Andechs. She was blessed with a pious upbringing and was the sister of Saint Mechtildis of Edelstetten.
