Biography

Blessed Jaime María Carretero Rojas was born on April 27, 1911, in the town of Villaviciosa, Córdoba, in Spain. He was raised in a devout Catholic family, which fostered his deep spiritual life and vocation to the priesthood. In pursuit of his calling, he entered the Carmelites of the Ancient Observance, a religious order known for its strict observance of the Rule of Saint Albert.
