Biography

Blessed Manuel Fernández Ferro, also known as "Father Manuel," was a Salesian priest who met a martyr's death during the Spanish Civil War. He was born on 9 February 1898 in Paradiñas, Orense, Spain, into a devout Catholic family. From an early age, Manuel displayed a natural inclination towards the priesthood, and he entered the Salesian Congregation to fulfill this calling.
