Biography
Blessed María Climent Mateu was a lay woman in the archdiocese of Valencia, Spain. She was born on 30 May 1887, in XÖtiva, Valencia, and was baptized on the day of her birth at her parish church of Saint Tecla. María received her education from the Dominican Sisters in Valencia, where she developed a love for music and embroidery. She was not only a talented singer and musician but also enjoyed creating intricate embroidery work.
