Blessed Pedro Ibáñez Alonso, a Dominican priest, was born on April 27, 1892, in Fuentes de Nava, Palencia, Spain. His life was tragically cut short during the Spanish Civil War when he was martyred on August 27, 1936, in Madrid, Spain.
