Biography

Blessed Özséb of Esztergom, also known as Esztergomi Boldog Özséb, Euzebiusz z Ostrzyhomia, Eusebius von Gran, and Eusebius of Esztergom, was born around the year 1200 in Esztergom, Komárom-Esztergom, Hungary. He hailed from a wealthy Hungarian noble family and from an early age demonstrated remarkable intelligence and a strong faith. Even as a child, Özséb displayed a preference for solitude, prayer, and contemplation.
