Biografía

Blessed Antoni Lladós Salud, also known as Raimundo, was a revered Catholic priest and member of the Benedictine Solesmes Congregation. He was born on 15 December 1881 in Llu√ßas, a village in Lleida, Spain. Growing up in a deeply religious family, Antoni developed a strong devotion to his faith from a young age.

Ordained as a priest, Antoni dedicated his life to serving God and his community. He became a member of the Benedictine Solesmes Congregation, an order known for its dedication to prayer, contemplation, and scholarship. Antoni's commitment to his religious vocation was unwavering, and he strived to guide others in their spiritual journey.

Tragically, the Spanish Civil War erupted in 1936, leading to a time of turmoil and persecution for many Catholics. Despite the dangers and threats posed by the violent conflict, Antoni remained steadfast in his faith and continued to minister to his flock. His unwavering commitment to his religious duties and refusal to renounce his faith made him a target for persecution.

On 28 August 1936, in Barbastro, Huesca, Spain, Antoni Lladós Salud was martyred for his faith. He courageously stood strong in the face of adversity, choosing to remain true to his beliefs until the very end. His selfless sacrifice and steadfast devotion inspired many, even in the darkest of times.

Recognizing the heroic virtue and sanctity of Antoni Lladós Salud, Pope Francis declared him "Blessed" on 13 October 2013, during a beatification ceremony held at the Complex Educatiu in Tarragona, Spain. The Chief Celebrant of the event was Cardinal Angelo Amato, who praised Antoni's unwavering faith and martyrdom as a testament to his devotion to God and the Church.

Antoni Lladós Salud's feast day is celebrated on 28 August, the date of his martyrdom. He is venerated by Catholics worldwide for his courage, holiness, and commitment to his spiritual calling.
