Beata Balbina la Joven

Blessed Balbina The Younger, also known as Balbina of Assisi, was born in 1215 in Assisi, Italy. She was the granddaughter of the esteemed Saint Clare of Assisi, who founded the Poor Clares order. Inspired by her grandmother's devotion to God, Balbina joined the Poor Clares at the monastery of San Damiano.

During her time in the order, Balbina demonstrated a deep commitment to living a life of Christian virtues. She devoted herself to prayer, contemplation, and serving those in need. Balbina's unwavering faith and dedication to the teachings of Christ earned her a reputation for holiness among her fellow sisters.

Impressed by her spiritual maturity and leadership qualities, Balbina was entrusted with the important task of founding a new Poor Clare monastery in Arezzo, Italy. With her guidance, the monastery flourished and became a beacon of light for the local community. Balbina's unwavering faith, selflessness, and supernatural gifts of healing and prophecy inspired many who came into contact with her.

Throughout her life, Blessed Balbina The Younger showed incredible devotion to God and her religious community. She was known to possess extraordinary gifts, such as experiencing divine visions and communing with angels. Her supernatural abilities were seen as miraculous by those who witnessed them.
