Biografía
Blessed Concepción Cabrera de Armida (1862–1923) emerged as a profound spiritual figure amidst the turmoil of Mexico’s revolutionary era. Born during the Mexican Civil War, she endured the religious persecutions of the Revolution while raising a large family as a devoted laywoman. After 22 years of marriage, she became a widow at the age of 39, leaving her to nurture nine children and later embrace the role of grandmother. Despite the demands of domestic life, she dedicated herself to deepening her faith through prayer and contemplation.
Her spiritual vocation manifested in the founding of the *Obra de la Cruz* (Work of the Cross), a comprehensive movement dedicated to uniting all Christians with the Passion of Christ. This began with the Apostolate of the Cross (18
