Biografía

Blessed Dionisio Ullivarri Barajuán was born on 9 October 1880 in Vitoria, Spain. He was baptized on the day of his birth, symbolizing his strong connection to the Catholic faith from the very beginning. Dionisio later became a Salesian brother, displaying his commitment to serving God and the Church.

In pursuit of his calling, Dionisio entered the novitiate in Sarria, Barcelona, Spain, and took his vows on 1 March 1901. He dedicated his life to the work of a bookbinder, assisting various educational institutions in Barcelona, Madrid, and Salamanca in Spain, as well as in Cuba.

During the turbulent times of the Spanish Civil War, Dionisio Ullivarri Barajuán ultimately met his martyrdom. He was tragically shot on 31 August 1936 in Aravaca, Madrid, Spain. His fearless and unwavering faith led him to sacrifice his life for his beliefs.
