Beato Francisco Fernández Escosura

Blessed Francisco Fernández Escosura, born on 23 January 1917 in Sotiello, Asturias, Spain, was a devoted member of the Dominicans. Later, on 28 October 2007, Pope Benedict XVI beatified Francisco Fernández Escosura in a solemn ceremony, adding him to the roster of the blessed, the martyrs who inspire the faithful by their courageous witness and sacrificial love.
