Biografía

Blessed Francisco Remón Játiva was born on September 22, 1890, in Caudé, Teruel, Spain. He was a Franciscan Conventual friar, deeply devoted to his faith and dedicated to serving God.

Francisco entered religious life and joined the Franciscan Order, specifically the Conventual branch. He embraced the Franciscan charism of simplicity, poverty, and humility, and his commitment to the Gospel teachings enabled him to live a life of selflessness and caring for others.

During the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War, Francisco fearlessly continued his religious duties despite the growing anti-Catholic sentiment. It was a time of great persecution for the Church, as many clergy and religious were targeted for their faith.

Tragically, on July 31, 1936, Blessed Francisco Remón Játiva met his martyrdom at Los Tres Pinos in Granollers, Barcelona, Spain. He, along with other Martyred Friars Minor Conventuals of Granollers, stood firm in their commitment to Christ and paid the ultimate price for their faith.

Blessed Francisco Remón Játiva's exemplary life and ultimate sacrifice were recognized by the Catholic Church. On March 26, 1999, Pope John Paul II declared him venerable, recognizing his martyrdom. Then, on March 11, 2001, Pope John Paul II officiated the beatification ceremony, acknowledging Francisco's sanctity and his closeness to God.

Blessed Francisco Remón Játiva's feast days are celebrated on July 31 and November 6, revered as one of the Martyred Friars Minor Conventuals of Granollers. His beatification serves as an inspiration to all believers, urging them to hold fast to their faith and never waver in the face of adversity.
