Isidro Juan Martínez was an active member of the Association of the Sons of Mary of the Miraculous Medal, a spiritual organization that fostered devotion to the Virgin Mary. He was deeply committed to his faith and embraced the principles of love and charity as exemplified by the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War, Isidro Juan Martínez bravely and fearlessly lived out his faith despite the dangers and persecution faced by Catholics at that time. Tragically, Isidro Juan Martínez met his martyrdom on October 18, 1936, in his hometown of Cartagena, Murcia, Spain. He was among the countless victims who lost their lives due to their religious beliefs during this dark period of Spanish history.
