Biografía

Blessed Jaume Vendrell Olivella, also known as Brother Bernat, was a devoted member of the Benedictine Subiaco Congregation, born on June 29, 1878, in San Esteve d’Ordal, Barcelona, Spain. He dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church, and his unwavering faith would ultimately lead to his martyrdom during the Spanish Civil War.

Jaume Vendrell Olivella lived a life of deep piety and holiness, fully embracing the monastic traditions of his congregation. As a member of the Benedictine Subiaco Congregation, he followed the Rule of St. Benedict, committing himself to prayer, work, and a life of simplicity and obedience. Jaume's dedication to these principles earned him high regard among his fellow religious and the community at large.
