Blessed Joan Tomás Gibert was a Catholic priest in the archdiocese of Tarragona, Spain. He was born on November 18, 1902, in Valls, Tarragona, and dedicated his life to the service of God and the Church.
During the turbulent years of the Spanish Civil War, Blessed Joan Tomás Gibert remained steadfast in his faith and commitment to his vocation. Sadly, he became a victim of the violent persecution of Catholics during this time. On August 28, 1936, he was martyred in Salard√∫, Lleida, an act of persecution for his religious beliefs.
