Biografía

Blessed José Máximo Moro Briz, born on 29 May 1882 in Santibáñez de Béjar, Salamanca, Spain, was a devoted Catholic priest in the diocese of Ávila, Spain. He dedicated his life to serving God and the people in his community.

Father José Máximo Moro Briz entered the priesthood and was ordained a Catholic priest. He became a spiritual leader, known for his kindness, humility, and unwavering faith. He tirelessly worked to bring the message of God's love and salvation to his parishioners in Ávila.

During the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War, Father Moro Briz remained faithful to his religious duties despite the danger and persecution faced by the Catholic Church. He fearlessly stood for justice, defending the rights and dignity of his fellow believers and remaining a beacon of hope in dark times.

Tragically, on 24 July 1936, Father Moro Briz was martyred on the Cebreros highway in El Tiemblo, Ávila, Spain, as a result of the religious persecution during the Spanish Civil War. He bravely faced martyrdom, remaining steadfast in his commitment to his faith until the very end.
