Biografía
Blessed José María Ferrándiz Hernández was a revered Catholic priest in the archdiocese of Valencia, Spain, who met a tragic end during the Spanish Civil War. Born on 11 August 1879 in El Camp de Mirra, Alicante, Spain, he dedicated his life to serving God and his community.
Ordained as a priest, Blessed José María Ferrándiz Hernández was known for his unwavering faith, compassion, and dedication to the teachings of the Catholic Church. He lived during a time of great social and political turmoil in Spain, with tensions running high between different ideological factions.
During the Spanish Civil War, a violent conflict that spanned from 1936 to 1939, religious persecution was prevalent, and many priests, religious individuals, and laypeople faced persecution and martyrdom because of their faith. Tragically, Blessed José María Ferrándiz Hernández became a victim of this persecution.
