Biografía
Blessed Josep Bru Boronat, also known as Blessed Josep Bru Boronat Montserrat and sometimes referred to as Montserrat, was a priest in the archdiocese of Tarragona, Spain. He was born on June 16, 1883, in the town of Mont-roig del Camp, located in the province of Tarragona.
From a young age, Josep Bru Boronat displayed a strong devotion to the Catholic faith. He pursued his vocation and was ordained as a priest, serving in various parishes within the archdiocese of Tarragona.
During the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War, Blessed Josep Bru Boronat became a victim of the religious persecution that occurred. On July 27, 1936, he was martyred in the city of Reus, in the province of Tarragona. He courageously remained faithful to his beliefs and remained committed to his priestly duties even in the face of danger.
