Lorenzo Palomino Villaescusa was born on 22 August 1867 in the town of Salobreña, Granada, Spain. From an early age, he displayed a strong faith and a deep desire to serve God and his community. With his calling to the priesthood, he entered seminary and received his education in theology, preparing himself for a life of spiritual guidance and sacramental ministry.

Ordained a priest for the archdiocese of Granada, Blessed Lorenzo Palomino Villaescusa dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his pastoral duties. On 26 February 2022, Pope Francis officially beatified Blessed Lorenzo Palomino Villaescusa, elevating him to the rank of Blessed within the Catholic Church. The beatification ceremony took place at the Cathedral of La Encarnación del Señor in Granada, Spain, further honoring his memory and inspiring devotion among the faithful.
