Blessed Luisa María Frías Cañizares, born Luisa María Frías Cañizares on 20 June 1896 in Valencia, Spain, was a lay woman who lived during the turbulent times of the Spanish Civil War. She devoted her life to her faith and selflessly served others in the Archdiocese of Valencia.

Luisa María Frías Cañizares grew up in a deeply religious family, where she learned the values of compassion, love, and devotion to God. Throughout her life, she displayed a strong commitment to her Catholic faith and actively participated in various religious activities within her community.

In December 1936, during the Spanish Civil War, Luisa María Frías Cañizares tragically became a martyr for her faith. She was arrested and taken to the Picadero de Paterna in Valencia, where she was brutally executed for her refusal to renounce her religious beliefs. Her courageous stance in the face of persecution exemplified her unwavering commitment to her Catholic faith.
