Beata María Teresa Bonzel, también conocida como Aline Bonzel, María Teresa, Regina Bonzel o Regina Cristiana Wilhelmina Bonzel, nació el 17 de septiembre de 1830 en Olpe, Renania del Norte-Westfalia, Alemania. Desde joven sintió una fuerte llamada a la vida religiosa, pero su familia se opuso firmemente a su decisión.
