Biografía
Blessed Michaël Nakashima Saburoemon, a devoted Jesuit lay brother, stands as a witness to unwavering faith in the face of persecution. Born in Japan during the period of intense anti-Christian edicts, his life was dedicated to the service of the Church. As a member of the Society of Jesus, he embraced the sacred duty of supporting the priesthood, even at the cost of his own life. His most significant and perilous vocation was the courageous act of hiding and assisting persecuted priests and missionaries, providing them with sanctuary, sustenance, and spiritual support during a time when their very presence was punishable by death. This act of profound charity and fidelity to the Gospel, undertaken at immense personal risk, defined his earthly mission. Blessed Michaël Nakashima Saburoemon
