26 December 1274 at Mazzo di Valtellina, Valtellina, Como, Italy of head and chest wounds received in an attack; body transferred to Colorina, Italy; funeral rites celebrated in Como on 31 December 1274; buried in the San Giovanni Dominican church in Pedemonte, Italy; relics enshrined in the Episcopio chapel in the church in 1810; relics enshrined in the chapel of the major seminary in the city in 1932; some relics distributed in Colorina and in Lecco, Italy, including in the city’s hospital chapel

The General Chapter of the Dominicans in Milan, Italy in 1278 recommended the cultus of Blessed Paganus and that he be considered a martyr; Pope Nicholas III praised Paganus’ dedication to the faith in documents published on 1 June 1278 and 29 November 1279

Beato Paganus de Lecco, también conocido como Paganus de Lecco, nació en el siglo XIII en Lecco, ciudad situada en las pintorescas orillas del lago de Como en Italia. Recibió su educación en los conventos dominicos de Bergamo y Rimini, donde adquirió un profundo amor por el aprendizaje y un fuerte compromiso con la fe católica.
