Biografía

Blessed Pau Gili Pedrós, also known as Paul Gili, was a Catholic priest who was born on January 29, 1912, in the town of Els Omellons, Lleida, in Spain. He dedicated his life to serving the Church and the faithful as a priest of the archdiocese of Tarragona.

During the turbulent years of the Spanish Civil War, Blessed Pau Gili Pedrós demonstrated unwavering faith and courage in the face of persecution. He remained steadfast in his commitment to Christ and his pastoral responsibilities, even in the midst of the violence and political turmoil that engulfed his homeland.

On July 26, 1936, in the city of Tarragona, Spain, Blessed Pau Gili Pedrós was martyred for his faith. He was executed by drowning in the Francolí river, becoming a witness to the ultimate sacrifice for his devotion to God.
