Biografía

Beato Petrus Donders, también conocido como Pedro Donders o Peerke Donders, nació el 27 de octubre de 1805 en Tilburg, Norte de Brabante, Países Bajos. Hijo de Arnold Denis Donders y Petronella van den Brekel, creció en una familia pobre, con escasas oportunidades educativas y obligado a trabajar en casa y en una fábrica local junto a su hermano Martín. A pesar de sus dificultades, Pedro albergaba un profundo deseo de convertirse en sacerdote.
