Beato Simón de San Bertín

Blessed Simon of Saint Bertin, also known as Simon of Auchy, was a renowned Benedictine monk and abbot at the Abbey of Saint-Bertin in France. Born in an unknown date and place, Simon dedicated his life to serving God through his vocation as a monk.

Simon's early life remains obscured, but it is believed that he entered the Benedictine Order at a young age and pursued his studies within the monastery. He displayed outstanding intellectual abilities, deep piety, and a strong devotion to the rule of Saint Benedict, eventually gaining the respect and admiration of his fellow monks.

In recognition of his exemplary character and leadership skills, Simon was appointed as the abbot of Auchy, a Benedictine monastery in France.
