Saint Claude

Claude Saint-Cyr, born Simone Naudet in 1911 and passed away in 2002, was a French milliner renowned for her exquisite hats that gained international acclaim during the mid-20th century. She worked primarily in Paris and London from the 1930s to the 1960s, collaborating with leading designers such as Jean Patou and Norman Hartnell. Saint-Cyr's work extended beyond personal commissions; she was a key supplier of hats to the royal household from the 1950s onwards. One of her most notable achievements was designing the wedding veil for Princess Margaret in 1960, as well as creating hats for the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth II during that event. After closing her own salon, she continued to advise other design houses until the mid-1990s.
