Saint Germain

The Count of St. Germain, whose real name and origins remain unknown, was a European adventurer active during the mid-18th century. Born around 1691 or 1712, he rose to prominence in high society due to his interests in science, alchemy, philosophy, and the arts. He associated with prominent figures such as Giacomo Casanova, Voltaire, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Known by various titles including Marquess of Montferrat, Count Bellamarre, Knight Schoening, Count Weldon, Count Soltikoff, Manuel Doria, Graf Tzarogy, and Prince Ragoczy, he was often referred to as 'the Wonderman' due to his far-fetched claims of being 500 years old. Voltaire described him as a man who never dies and knows everything. He is said to have dined with the fathers of the Council in Trent and may have been received by a future monarch after fifty years. His legacy includes his enigmatic persona and the mystery surrounding his life and true identity.
