Saint Malachi

Malachi Brendan Martin, born on July 23, 1921, and died on July 27, 1999, was an Irish-born American Traditionalist Catholic priest known for his work in biblical archaeology, exorcism, palaeography, and writing. Ordained as a Jesuit, he served as Professor of Palaeography at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome from 1958 to 1964. During this time, he also acted as secretary to Cardinal Augustin Bea during preparations for the Second Vatican Council. However, Martin became disillusioned with the council and its aftermath, leading him to request release from certain aspects of his Jesuit vows in 1964. He subsequently moved to New York City, where he continued his work as a writer and exorcist. His writings often criticized the Catholic hierarchy for failing to address what he perceived as significant issues, such as the 'Third Prophecy' revealed by the Virgin Mary at Fátima.

Notable works include The Scribal Character of the Dead Sea Scrolls (1958) and Hostage to the Devil (1976). Martin’s legacy includes his contributions to biblical studies and his critical views on the Church's actions during the post-Vatican II era.
