Biografía

Esta biografía está disponible actualmente solo en inglés.

Paschasius Radbertus (785–865) was a Carolingian theologian and abbot of Corbie, a monastery founded by Queen regent Bathilde in either 657 or 660 with monks from Luxeuil Abbey. His most notable work is the De Corpore et Sanguine Domini, an exposition on the nature of the Eucharist written around 831. This treatise was influential and is still studied for its insights into transubstantiation. He was canonized by Pope Gregory VII in 1073, but his death place remains unverifiable. His feast day is celebrated on April 26th.

Radbertus's contributions to Christian theology are remembered through his works, particularly De Corpore et Sanguine Domini, which continues to be a subject of scholarly interest and debate in the Church.
