Biografía

Esta biografía está disponible actualmente solo en inglés.

Paul Adolphe Marie Prosper Granier de Cassagnac was born on January 2, 1843, in Paris and died on November 4, 1904, in Saint-Viâtre. His father was Adolphe Granier de Cassagnac, and his mother was Rosa de Beaupin de Beauvalon. Young Granier de Cassagnac became involved in politics and journalism early in life, working as the editor of Le Pays from 1866 to 1870. During the Franco-Prussian War, he volunteered for military service but was captured at Sedan. After his release, he continued to advocate for Bonapartist causes, being elected deputy for Gers in 1876 and supporting a policy of obstruction against the republican government. He later founded L'Autorité journal and played a minor role in political affairs thereafter. His death in 1904 marked the end of his active political career, with his sons continuing to run both the journal and family traditions.
