Biografía
Saint Antonio González, a devoted member of the Order of Preachers (Dominican Friars), dedicated his life to the Gospel in the perilous mission field of Japan during the intense persecution of Christians under the Tokugawa shogunate. Born in Spain, he embraced the Dominican vocation, committing himself to prayer, study, and the proclamation of the faith. His profound zeal led him to the Far East, where he labored tirelessly among the faithful, strengthening their resolve and catechizing converts despite the ever-present threat of arrest and death. His unwavering commitment to Christ and his flock became his defining witness. Captured by authorities who sought to eradicate Christianity, Saint Antonio González faced martyrdom with courage and faith.
