Biografía

Esta biografía está disponible actualmente solo en inglés.

Benedetta Cambiagio Frassinello was an Italian Roman Catholic professed religious and the founder of the Benedictine Sisters of Providence. Born to a family that initially pressured her into marriage, she and her husband chose to live a chaste life in response to their parents' wishes. Together, they dedicated themselves to education, founding schools for girls. After establishing such institutions in Genoa, Frassinello founded her own religious order in 1838, adhering to the Benedictine charism. Her dedication to education and religious service led to her beatification in 1987 and canonization as a saint in 2002.

Frassinello's life story is marked by a deep commitment to education and religious devotion. She founded an order that continues to serve the Church, particularly through educational institutions for young women. Her legacy lives on through her order and the schools she established, which continue to provide opportunities for girls in Italy and beyond.
