Biografía

Saint Eithne, daughter of King Leoghaire of Ireland and sister of Saint Fedelemia, is venerated for her profound encounter with the Gospel. According to tradition, she and her sister, while still young, met the Apostle of Ireland, Saint Patrick, near the fountain of Clebach. There, they received the foundational instruction of the Christian faith. Under Patrick’s guidance, both sisters were baptized, received their First Communion, and were thus initiated into the life of the Church. Their spiritual journey culminated in a death marked by an ecstatic union with God, described as an "ecstasy of love," signifying their complete surrender to divine grace. This extraordinary end, witnessed by those around them, testified to the depth of their conversion and devotion. Following
