Biografía

Saint Honulphus of Sens, also known as Honulph or Honulpho, was a revered figure in the Catholic Church. He was born in the 8th century and is best known for being the father of Saint Honobertus of Sens. Saint Honulphus himself held a prestigious position as the 38th bishop of Sens, France, around the year 755. Little information exists about Saint Honulphus' representation, as no specific symbols or objects are typically associated with him. However, this does not diminish his significance within the Catholic faith. Saint Honulphus' feast days are celebrated on several occasions throughout the year. The Florarium, Castellanus, and Elenchus Martyrologies honor him on 5 January and 19 December. Additionally, on 31 August, the Church commemorates the discovery of his relics. Saint Honulphus is believed to have died around the year 761, passing away from natural causes. His exemplary life and faithful service to the Church led to his canonization, although the exact date and process of his canonization remain within the Pre-Congregation era of the Catholic Church. Despite his lack of a specific patronage, Saint Honulphus still holds a revered place in Catholic devotion. Although historical records may not provide an extensive biography for this saint, his contribution as a bishop and his role as a father figure in the faith merit recognition and veneration.
