Biografía

Saint Milburga of Wenlock (c. 650–715) was a revered Benedictine abbess and miracle worker, born in Mercia to King Merewalh and Saint Ermenburga, sister of Saints Mildred and Mildgytha. Following a life of piety, she took the veil under the guidance of Archbishop Saint Theodore of Canterbury, embracing the Benedictine monastic life. Her most enduring legacy was founding Much Wenlock Abbey in Shropshire, England, where she served as its first abbess
