Theonas embraced this solitude and dedicated his life to prayer and fasting, seeking deeper union with God. One of the stories often associated with Saint Theonas depicts him near a well, surrounded by various wild animals. This representation is significant because it refers to a particular event in his life. It is said that Theonas was known for his kindness towards animals and would regularly provide them with water and care. This act of compassion and stewardship resonated with many, and he became known as a protector and caretaker of the wildlife. While Theonas' reputation grew among the local community, he remained humble and focused on his spiritual journey.
