Biography
Saint Oscar Arnulfo Romero Y Galdámez, also known as Saint Óscar Romero, was born on 15 August 1917 in Ciudad Barrios, San Miguel, El Salvador. He was the second of seven children born to Santo Romero and Guadalupe de Jesus Galdamez. Romero was ordained as a priest on 4 April 1942 in Rome, Italy.
