Biography

Blessed Àngel Maria Rodamilans Canals, also known as Father Àngel Maria Rodamilans Canals, was born on 1 May 1874 in Sabadell, Barcelona, Spain. He was a renowned Catholic priest and a member of the Benedictine Subiaco Congregation, known for his devotion to God and his unwavering commitment to his faith.

Father Rodamilans Canals began his religious journey by joining the Subiaco Congregation, where he dedicated himself to a life of prayer, study, and service. He was ordained a priest and spent many years ministering to his community, tending to the spiritual needs of the faithful through his pastoral work.

During the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War, Father Rodamilans Canals faced immense challenges and persecution due to his unwavering faith and refusal to renounce his beliefs. He remained steadfast in his commitment to God and his dedication to the teachings of the Catholic Church, even in the face of danger.

Tragically, on 27 July 1936, Father Rodamilans Canals was martyred for his faith and executed in his hometown of Sabadell, Barcelona, Spain. His courageous witness and martyrdom in the face of persecution serve as an inspiration to all believers.
