Biography

Blessed Amadeus of Clermont, also known as Amadeus of Hauterives, was a nobleman born in Hauterives, Dråme, France. He was the lord of Hauterives and held a position of power in his region. However, despite his status, Blessed Amadeus felt a calling to the religious life and decided to retire from the world with sixteen of his men.
