Biography
Blessed Andrea Calle González, also known as Blessed Andrea of Madrid, was a devout Catholic nun who lived during the tumultuous period of the Spanish Civil War. She was born on 26 February 1902 in Plasencia, Cáceres, Spain. From an early age, Andrea felt a deep calling to serve the Lord and her fellow human beings, which ultimately led her to join the Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul.
