Biography

Blessed Anthony of Ilbenstadt, also known as Antony of Ilbenstadt, was born around 1100 in Nivelles, Brabant, which is in modern-day Belgium. He lived during a time of great spiritual fervor in the Catholic Church and was deeply influenced by the preaching of Saint Norbert of Xanten, whom he encountered in Nivelles around the year 1120.
