Blessed Arsenio De La Viuda Solla was born on 19 June 1880 in Valdespino Vaca, León, Spain. Attracted to a life of piety and service, he joined the Dominicans as a lay brother on 13 May 1903. Arsenio made his solemn profession on 20 February 1910 in Cadiz, Spain, dedicating his life to the order.
